About

Searchia is a fast, privacy-friendly search engine running on Cloudflare Workers, sourcing answers from Brave Search and Kagi.

Setting it as your default engine

Firefox-based browsers: Right-click the URL bar and select "Add 'Searchia'". Then go to about:preferences#search and under "Default search engine" pick "Searchia".

Chromium-based browsers: Go to chrome://settings/searchEngines and scroll down to "Site search". Click "Add" and fill it in with:

• Name: "Searchia"
• Shortcut: "searchia"
• URL: https://www.searchia.uk/?q=%s

Then save, scroll down to the newly created entry, click "…", and choose "Make default".

Privacy

Searchia does not require an account and does not sell personal data. Optional theme and search preferences stay in your browser. Full details — including cookies, providers, and Kagi session handling — are on the Privacy page. Use of the service is covered by our Terms.

Keyboard shortcuts

• j / ↓ — move highlight down a result
• k / ↑ — move highlight up a result
• ← — show previous image's details
• → — show next image's details
• / — focus the search bar
• w — open the web results tab
• i — open the images tab
• n — open the news tab
• v — open the videos tab
• m — open the maps tab
• ? — show keyboard shortcuts
• Esc — close details panel
